Pastor Scott Hoffer
Raised in the heart of central Pennsylvania, Pastor Scott Hoffer embarked on a path of service by joining the United States Navy after graduation. During his eight years of service, he met his wife Sandy while stationed in Connecticut. Their journey brought them back to Northern Michigan, Sandy’s childhood home, even as Scott found himself straying from his moral foundation.
A Calling to Ministry
Reaching a pivotal turning point, Pastor Scott recommitted his life to our Holy Father, embracing his call to ministry. Leaving behind his prior career, he pursued formal education in Theology, earning degrees in Biblical Studies and Christian Ministry. His leadership has since blossomed across multiple churches in Michigan, yet it is in Northern Michigan where he feels truly at home.
A Message of Hope and Redemption
Pastor Scott's favorite verse is 1 Timothy 1:15-17 "This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. Howbeit for this cause obtain mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on Him to life everlasting. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen"
Just as the Apostle Paul tells young Timothy of his unseemly beginnings, and the glory of grace and mercy extended by Jesus so that others might come to Christ of Salvation, Scott prays that he might spend his life serving God by telling others of the gift he has been given that is also available to you.
