Pastor Scott Hoffer
Pastor Scott was raised in central Pennsylvania and joined the United States Navy after graduation. He served for 8 years and met his wife, Sandy, while both were on active duty in Connecticut. They returned to northern Michigan where Sandy was raised all the while wandering far from the good upbringing of his family and getting deeply involved in the sins of this world and on the path to destruction.
He committed his life to our Holy Father at an extremely low point in his life and soon after he received his call to ministry. He left his job and received his formal education in Theology and received degrees in Biblical Studies and in Christian Ministry. Pastor Scott has served at several churches throughout Michigan though he feels at home in northern Michigan. He enjoys reaching out to people in our area with the love and compassion of the Savior as he proclaims His praises.
Pastor Scott's favorite verse is 1 Timothy 1:15-17 "This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. Howbeit for this cause obtain mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on Him to life everlasting. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen"
Just as the Apostle Paul tells young Timothy of his unseemly beginnings, and the glory of grace and mercy extended by Jesus so that others might come to Christ of Salvation, Scott prays that he might spend his life serving God by telling others of the gift he has been given that is also available to you.
